Blocks World Planning

Can you arrange three blocks into  an A-B-C tower using the robot gripper?

Blocks planning re-creates some of the classic problems tackled by early AI research.  Here, you control the robot arm using simple actions: pick up a clear block, place it on another clear block, or put it on the table.

Your goal: Build a stack with C at the bottom, B in the middle, and A on top.

Start with a random configuration, or try the Sussman Anomaly, a classic example that illustrates why planning subgoals independently can lead to difficulties.

Created by Ian Frank & ChatGPT as an interactive teaching resource for exploring classical AI planning.
